Job Description
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will develop skills in precision measurement, testing and the use of specialist calibration equipment, while building an understanding of UKAS and traceable calibration. Pressure, temperature, humidity, force, electrical, torque, light and environmental calibration. Wage £20,000 a year Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab) 1st year - £20,000 2nd year - £21,000 3rd year - £22,000 4th year - £24,000 Training course Engineering technician (level 3) Hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. 37 hours 30 minutes a week Start date Monday 2 November 2026 Duration 3 years 6 months Positions available 1 Work Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience. What you'll do at work Calibration of pressure, temperature, humidity, force, electrical, torque, light and environmental. Where you'll work 5 Octavian Way Team Valley Trading Estate Gateshead NE11 0HZ Training Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training.
